In loving memory of Margaret Ellen Engstrom (nee Bradburn) who went home to her Lord and Saviour on Thursday July 7th 2016, at the age of 90 years. Daughter of the late Walter Bradburn and Jessie (née Munroe) Bradburn, she was predeceased by her husband Joseph Engstrom; daughters Shirley Engstrom and Ellen Dorie; sister, Frances (the late Wilfred Anderson) and her brother Norman Bradburn (Fran of Sudbury). She is fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She greatly appreciated the special assistance provided to her by many of them; including Phyllis Munro, who provided many hours of assistance during the past number of years.
Margaret grew up in the mining town of Copper Cliff together with her sister, Frances and brother, Norman, with whom she had a close relationship throughout their lives. During summers and whenever she could she visited and stayed with family in the Munro Road area. It was there where she raised her family on a farm. She loved to have neighbours and family visit with her for tea and desserts. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed bowling and reading.
Margaret attended Kipling Baptist Church. She was baptized at Camp Norland and always enjoyed participating in hymn sings and church meetings.
Visitation will be held at Kipling Baptist Church at 201 Kipling West Road, Verner on Friday July 15th from 10 to 11AM. The funeral service will follow the visitation starting at 11AM with Pastor Stephen Olmstead. Interment will be in Sunnyridge Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home.
For those wishing, donations to Kipling Baptist Church would be greatly appreciated.
