Beloved wife of Ken Ellis. Loving mother of Sean Thompson & his wife Suzzanne and Leah Edwardson & her husband Jody. Cherished grandmother of Julia, Kayla, Trista, Emma, Grace and Drew. Her heart opened wider to love her new family of step children, Sarah Ellis, Stephanie Mahoney & her husband Sean and Derek McDonald & his wife Leeanne Kennett, her step-grandchildren Emily, Caelyn, Liam, Nathan, Maeve, Vienna and Morgan. She will be missed by her sister Theresa Dubien & her husband Darcy, her brother Peter Noonan & his wife Ethel, her sister-in-law Linda Easterbrook & her husband Ken and brother-in-law David Pitre, as well as many nieces, nephews and her life long friend Jo Anne Joly. Predeceased by her parents Albert and Agnes Noonan (nee Lévesque), her brother Richard Noonan and her sister Susan Rose.
Fran was born on February 15th, 1947 in Sudbury. She worked for Falconbridge Nickel Mines for 35 years retiring in 2001. After retiring from Falconbridge she worked at Sears Canada for 2 years. Fran was a long time member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Garson and was a member of the CWL. A feisty competitor, her Irish heritage shone through when golfing or playing cards. On her final winter vacation, she achieved every golfer’s dream of getting a hole-in-one! The family would like to thank the staff of Health Sciences North, including Dr. Sauvé, Dr. Bourdon and Dr. Singh, as well as the wonderful staff at the Maison Vale Hospice for their excellent care and compassion.
Memorial mass at St. John’s the Evangelist Catholic Church (255 Church Street, Garson) on Monday, November 14th, 2016 at 10:00 am A celebration of her life will be held at the Falconbridge Legion Branch 336 – Falconbridge-Garson (66 Edison Rd, Falconbridge, Ontario) on Tuesday, November 15th, 2016 from 2:00 pm until 6:00pm. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium with burial alongside her parents in St. John’s Cemetery in Garson at a later date. Donations to the Maison Vale Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
