Irmgard grew up in Germany and then immigrated to Canada to begin a new life with her husband Karl and oldest child Rosmarie. Settling on the farm in St. Charles, they continued to pursue their new lives and expand their family. Her life experiences made her the strong, independent woman who’s strength, courage and frugality influenced her family. She was a loving role model to her grandchildren who admired her. Her stories will always be remembered and retold by her loved ones. She had a passion for spending her days outdoors in her garden, enjoying time at the lake, taking care of her birds, sewing, baking and preparing dinners for her family and friends. She was a compelling woman who’s beliefs were impressive, deep-rooted but yet very proud.
