Obituary for Dianne Fraser Varney (Ingram)

In loving memory of Dianne Fraser Varney (née Ingram), 71 years, who passed away at Health Sciences North on Saturday, December 31, 2016 after a long courageous battle with cancer,

Born February 9, 1945 in North Bay, ON to Eve (née Larivière) and Fraser Ingram, both predeceased. Loving wife of John Varney, who she married in North Bay on July 27, 1967. Loving mother of Tamara Varney (Roy Viikeri) of Thunder Bay, Brenda Brownlee (Scott) of Bancroft, Tanya Varney (Dwayne Sears) of Bancroft, and Paula Varney (Craig Ferguson) of Sudbury. Loving grandmother to Jordan, Beth, Benjamin, Hayden and Chase. Loving sister of Barb Alcorn of Scarborough, Barrie Preston of Portage-Le-Prairie, MB, Beverly (Pinky) and Bruce Noakes of Mississauga, Fraser Ingram of Bowmanville, and Anthony Ingram of North Bay, all of whom survive her. She will be greatly missed.

Dianne worked at Muirhead Stationers, and after having her daughters she worked at Sears for 30 years. She was a member of ACT/UCT Council 1057, Sudbury, past member and instructor for the Dolphin Aquatic Scuba Club, and past member of the Copper Cliff Curling Club.

Thank you to Dr. K. Gill and Dr. M. Aniol for many years of excellent care. Cremation. Interment of ashes to follow in the spring at Sudbury Anglican Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Northern Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
