During the early hours of Thursday, January 12, 2017, Robert Alexander Squires died peacefully at the Sudbury Regional Hospital surrounded by family. Soulmate of 55 years to Marnie (Pernu) Squires. Loving father of Matthew (Kari), David (Tammie), & Nathan (Natalie). Well loved and proud Poppa of Emma, Noah, Lana, Ben, & Liam Squires. He will also be missed by many family members and friends.

Son of Enos and Bella Squires. Brother of Leslie (Isabelle) of Alberta, Norman (Annie), both predeceased, & Stella Freedman (Albert), both predeceased.

Bob loved photography and building. He was up for any challenge--there was never a project that was too big or too small. He tackled everything with a ready smile and vigor. Bob cherished and loved his family deeply and they were always his focus. He was a teacher and a mentor to all. Eternally optimistic, he always knew the right thing to say, providing insight and encouragement in any given situation.

He will forever live in our hearts. The family is inviting you to join them at Peddlers Pub (63 Cedar Street) on Saturday, February 18th, 2017 from 1-5pm to remember Bob. Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home.
