Born in Croatia, he came to Canada in 1934. Son of the late John Jelenic and Ane (Golubic) Jelenic. Beloved husband of 70 wonderful years to Danica Jelenic (Badovinac). Loving father of Robert (Bob) Jelenic predeceased 2008 (wife Joy) and Marianne Jelenic of Sudbury. Grandfather of Lee Jelenic (Bethany), Laine Makfoor (Mihah) of Novi, Michigan and great grandfather of Chase, Caroline and Austin Jelenic, Jackson, Leo, Wyatt and Elaina Nakfoor. Loving brother of Margie Predovich (Dan predeceased) of St. Catherine’s and Milan (Rena) Jelenic both predeceased. Uncle to Richard Predovich (Helen) of St. Catherine’s, Ken Predovich (Jean) of Toronto, Maryann Edwards (Dave) of St. Catharines, Melanie Kanerva (Ron) of Sudbury, Milan Jelenic of Sudbury, Nancy Dreznjak (Leo) of Burlington and Diana (Ilija Skoko) of Mississauga. Brother in law to Mary Radisic (John) of Oakville and Anne Menican (John predeceased) of Toronto.

Thomas served overseas in World War II with the Royal Canadian Artillery. He worked at INCO for 36 years retiring as surface supervisor. He was an avid Blue Jays and Maple Leaf fan.
