Obituary for Pauline Frances Robert (Gainer)

Pauline Frances Robert (Gainer)
Pauline Robert

Pauline Robert
July 10, 1942-February 19, 2017

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Pauline Robert (née) Gainer at the age of 74 on Sunday, February 19th, 2017. Beloved wife of Ronald Robert. Loving mother of Pierre (Julie) and Marc (Megan). Grandmother of Nicholas (16 years), Alice (4 years) and Cohen (2 years) whom she cherished more than anything. Also sadly missed by her brothers Richard, Allan and Mike as well as her nieces and nephews and her dear friend Pauline MacInnis.

Before her retirement in June 1998, Pauline was a school teacher for 39 years, having taught more than 25 years, children with learning disabilities. She always had a way of making things easier to understand, bring out your curiosity while making you feel respected and in a comfortable environment which was most important. For the past 5 years, she has been editor of reflection and thought in the weekly bulletin of her parish, Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, Alban. With her friends of St. Michel School, they accomplished “paper tole” projects while bonding and strengthening their friendship. Her work was always done with pride and patience while pushing creativity. Her talent is showcased on the walls at the cottage on French River. Pauline, like her father was always working to help others less fortunate and in need. Social justice is something she strongly believed in and advocated for. Her smile and sense of humour, her generosity and attentiveness will always be engraved in our memory but most of all in our hearts. She will be greatly missed.

A Mass and celebration of her life will be held at St-Jean de Brébeuf Church, Sudbury, on Friday, May 26th, 2017 at 10:30am. The family would love to see you there.
Donations to the Northern Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home.
