It is with great sadness that the family of Colette Kingsbury announces the passing of their beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister on March 29, 2017, at the age of 73.
Beloved wife of the late Allen Kingsbury. Daughter of the late Désiré Joseph and Simone (née Beaudette) Charbonneau. Loving mother of Danny, Bruce (Paula), Denise (Luc Larcher), Lise (David Foster), Jane, Mike (Christina), Marc and Eddy (predeceased). Cherished mémère of Chad, Sabrina-Lee, Tanya, Jeff, Amanda, Jessica, Joel, Justin, Brody, Cassandra, Meagan, Arianne (predeceased), Michaela, Miranda, Brianna, Isla-Avery, Nicholas (predeceased), Mark and Jessica; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Dawson, Caleb, Ava, Noah, Alex, Sophie, Eli, Grace and Kevin. Dear sister of Marcel (predeceased), Yvette, Linda, Normand (predeceased), Diane, Anne, Suzanne, Guy, Claude, Jeanne and Robert (predeceased). Sadly missed by numerous nieces, nephews and friends; as well as her dearest friend Patsy and family.
Colette was a lively and energetic lady who touched many lives with her thoughtful and loving spirit. She was a woman who cherished her family and friends and was always there for them in their time of need. She was an avid cat lover; was passionate when she was playing any game, having a very competitive spirit; she loved doing all sorts of puzzles; she loved camping with her family, writing poetry; and later in life took dance lessons, which filled her with so much joy.
The family would like to sincerely thank the staff of Finlandia Village for their kindness and devotion to Colette during her time with them.
Funeral Visitation at the Lougheed Funeral Home, 252 Regent Street at Hazel Street. (Friends may call 2-5; 7-9pm Tuesday). Funeral Mass in St. Jean de Brébeuf Church, 26 Kathleen Street on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to the Northern Cancer Foundation or Finlandia Village would be appreciated.
