Passed away Tuesday, April 4th, 2017 at Finlandia Village, Sudbury.

Beloved wife of the late Niilo Lehto. Loving mother of Martin Lehto (Muriel) and Helen Graham (Ray). Dear daughter of Aarne and Marie Ylitalo both predeceased. Sister of the late Kauna Ylitalo. Cherished grandmother of Darlene Lukie (Dennis predeceased), Daren Holmes (Theresa), Merek Lehto (Sophia), Shauna Lehto (Bill), Marty Lehto (Natalie), Kerri Jouppi (Jake), Robert Graham, Scarlett Krajcir (Ed) and David Graham (Tracey) and great grandmother of Miranda (Andrew), Laura (Brennan), Devon (predeceased), Jade, Braeden, Tylor, Logan, Brett, Jack, Kate, Matti, Max, Shelley, Dana, Ember, Noah and Evan and great great grandchildren Addison and Jaxon. Special cousin to Oili Kuappala.

In early days Aune owned and operated a hot dog and hamburger stand in Garson, later working for Christakos Groceries. Much of her time was spent working with her husband, Niilo at their many construction projects, specially building the cottage at Lake Wahnapitae in 1954, and called it “Work Haven”. She enjoyed fishing, all crafts, cards, curling, was a fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and knitted toques for cancer patients, mitts, slippers, scarves and socks for all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
