Obituary for Brenda Lonsberry ( Stevens)

In Loving Memory
Of
Brenda Lonsberry
(nee Stevens)
63 years

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Brenda Lonsberry after a long and difficult journey on Wednesday, April 5th, 2017 at Health Sciences North with her loving and devoted family and friends by her side. She was the soulmate and loving wife of “Cooter” Gary Lonsberry for almost 45 years. Most loved mother and confidante to Diana Farmer and John Lonsberry (Shelley). Adored granny of Jade Brenda (predeceased 1993), Dakota Gary (predeceased 1994), Talon (Simone), Dakin and Laiken Farmer, Hunter Lonsberry, Jade and Paige Goodson. She was the beloved daughter of Leonard and Faye Stevens (both predeceased). Loving sister of Lenny (predeceased), Doug (Colette), Paul (predeceased), Brian (Helen), Ray (predeceased) and Donna (Jim). Cherished daughter in law of Ted and Eileen Stewart and Bruce and Betty Lonsberry all predeceased. Sister in law to Norma and Greg Lavalley and John Raczkowski all of Oshawa. She will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Sadly missed by Herb Farmer. Brenda was a long-time member of the Sudbury Classic Cruisers and Sudbury Street Rod Association where she sported a 1930 Model A that was her “BB JADE”. She enjoyed travelling throughout Canada and the States going to car shows with Cooter and all of their friends. Living in “Cooterville”, Brenda was known as “Ma” to all of our neighbourhood friends when we were growing up opening our home to everyone. The family wishes to express a special thank you to all of the many family and friends who helped out and supported all of us over the years. To Dr. Abdulhusein and staff, Sam (PSW) from We Care, Terry (nurse) from Bayshore, Pam (PSW), from We Care, staff from CCAC, the staff from 5th and 6th floor South Tower and the entire ER Staff at HSN, thank you for your care and compassion. The hardest part of losing someone, isn’t having to say goodbye, but rather learning to live without them. Mom it is time for you to go to your two tiny angels, one pink and one blue and have them sit on my shoulder, for now I have to live life without you. We will love you forever our whole lives through.
