Obituary for Aileen Dubreuil (Simpson)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Aileen Dubreuil at her residence on April 16th, 2017 at the age of 78 with her family by her side. Born Aileen Ida Mae Simpson, she met her true love Len Dubreuil (predeceased). She was a loving and devoted wife for 49 years before his passing in 2009. She will truly be missed everyday by her daughters Michelle Dubreuil, Winnie Dubreuil (Freddie) and Mariette Erickson (Alvin). Also by her grandchildren Sherry-Lyn (Mike), Justin, great grandchild Michael and by nephew Joshua and of course her furry companion Buddie. Dear sister to Rene Simpson (Sadie), Velma Matthews and Victor Simpson (Gaetan). Love and cared for by many, she will also be missed by her dearest friend of 60 years Liz Rathier and her little friends Hunter and Logan Howe. Mom was a very proud Canadian and loved everything that had to do with Canada. She also had a passion for history, loved reading biographies, yard sailing and finding that special treasure at one of her favorite thrift stores. A special thank you to Dr’s Luison, Noble, Pierce and Walton, nurse Janice and to the staff at CCAC especially nurses Doris and Joanne. We will always be grateful for the care and compassion that you showed our mother. When asked by Dr. Walton what she was most proud of, she responded her daughters but it is us who are most proud of her. The sheer courage, strength and determination she showed during her illness will truly be inspiring for all the years to come. As per Mom’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A memorial mass will be held at St. Francis Xavier Church, Cartier on Friday, April 21st, 2017 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pet Save. Rest peacefully Mom. We love you.
