Pretz, Jean-Paul (J.P.)

The family announces with great sorrow, after a long battle with cancer, his passing at Health Sciences North, Sudbury April 24, 2017, at the age of 64. Beloved husband of 39 years of Debbie (Gingras) and loving father of Michael.

He was predeceased by his parents Leonard and Marie (Galliano) and sister Arlene. Left to mourn are his siblings Patti Price (Dorman), Charlene Lewis & Terry Pretz. Sadly missed by many nieces & nephews.

Jean-Paul worked very hard and was devoted to his family. He enjoyed woodworking, golfing and socializing with his buddies at Tim's and the Shopping Center, but was happiest when spending time with his “boy”.

In keeping with J.P.'s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. A private family gathering will be held at a later date for the interment of ashes at St. John's Cemetery, Garson.

The Pretz family wishes to thank Dr. de Blacam, Dr. Want, Dr. Shum, Dr. Ewing-Bui, the staff 4th fl, South Tower (neurosurgery), 4th fl. North Tower (oncology), and the Cancer Centre (radiation), Perimed, Bayshore and C.C.A.C. for their kind care of both J.P. and his family. Arrangements entrusted Sudbury Park Lawn Cremation Services.
