In loving memory of Dora McGuigan who lived life fully during her 98 years.
Beloved wife of Thomas McGuigan (predeceased), dear daughter of Ernie and Lillian Whitehead (predeceased). Loving mother to Patricia Bradley (Richard predeceased), Gregory (Susan) of BC. Terry (Carole) of Blind River (both predeceased), Susan Wastila (Norman) of Manitouwadge (both predeceased). Sister of Les Whitehead (Gladys) (both predeceased), Bruce Whitehead (Pearl) (both predeceased). Sadly missed by Beth Grant special family friend and partner of Norman Wastila. Cherished by ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
While living in Sudbury, Dora worked for Br. 76 Legion Spearheading the Poppy Campaign, she also worked for The Boys Home organizing their Walkathon. She moved to Sault Ste. Marie in 1975 working for a custom framing company until retirement in 1985. Dora enjoyed playing bridge with her many friends at the Senior Drop in Center and volunteered at the Soo Plummer Hospital for 15 years.
The Funeral Service will be held at Lougheed Funeral Home 252 Regent St. at Hazel St., on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 11:30AM. (Friends may call after 10:30AM Friday May 26th). Cremation with interment in the Park Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Maison McCulloch Hospice would be appreciated.
