Wednesday, May 31st, 2017 at the Maison McCulloch Hospice, Sudbury.
Beloved husband of Suzanne “Suzie” (Richer) Dzimidowicz. Loving father of Tanya (husband Eddy Marcotte). Cherished son of Stanley and Olga (Woloshin) Dzimidowicz predeceased. Loving brother of Helen Roy (husband Ricky) both predeceased. Special uncle of Cindy (Robbie Brisebois) and Andrew Roy (Leslie) and families. Dear son in law of Jean and Georges Richer both predeceased. Dear brother in law of Claire (husband Gilles Grandbois) both predeceased. He will be sadly missed by his Coniston extended family friends and his St. Charles/West Arm extended family friends. He will also be missed by many cousins, and his pets.
John was a longtime and well liked Coniston resident. A devout Roman Catholic, he faithfully attended mass and supported the parish in Coniston and St. Charles. He was a proud member of the Coniston Lions Club, having served as President and in executive positions. He was an active member 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, being a life member and having received the Family of Year Award 2012. He had volunteered with Citizens on Patrol (COPS), having received his 5 year service award. John will be remembered for his commitment to help others and sharing his wonderful gift of conversation. He enjoyed the outdoors, quadding, golfing (especially Monetville), hunting and was an avid Maple Leafs Fan. He regularly attended the Friday night Sudbury Wolves hockey games with the Boys.
He was devoted to his family. The light of his life will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
