Condolence From: William Skarnes
Condolence: Dear Family and Friends of Sue Tate,
I am very sorry we have to say goodbye to Sue today. She was a warm and wonderful individual with a terrifically wry sense of humor and a joie de vivre. Sue loved the theatre and I thank her for introducing me to the plays of Shakespeare. I will never forget our wonderful trips to Stratford. At her home, the great food she served, the wine carefully selected by Rod and the long conversations over the dinner table were an education in fine living.
She and Rod made a wonderful couple, almost making it to 60 years together. Amazing. Rod was incredibly devoted to her, through thick and thin and my hats off to you sir. She was wonderful mother to her two daughters and taught them well. I cannot thank Sue enough for the number of great recipes she passed down to Peri, which sustained me and my family over the years. And I am hopeful our daughters will continue the tradition.
While I cannot be there at the gathering today, Sue is very much in my mind.
My love and condolences to all.
Bill
