Obituary for
Judith Cecilia "Judy" Gotro
In Loving Memory
of
Judith Cecilia Gotro
It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our precious sister Judy, on Monday, June 12th, 2017 at 4:30 P.M. at the Maison McCulloch Hospice.
Daughter of Roy and Marion (Dwyer) Gotro predeceased. Dearest sister of Harriet Davidson (Hugh predeceased) of Orillia, twin sister Connie (Terry) Antonioni of Lively and brother John (Claire) Gotro of Mount Forest. Dearest aunt to Keith Davidson (April), Heather Fraser (Mark), Sherri-Lynn Gotro, Chantal Simon (Rob), Terry Antonioni (Laura), Tiffany Simpson (Scott) and Jason Antonioni (Jennifer).
Judy attended Loretto College in Toronto and St. Joseph’s College in Quebec, then attended Sudbury Business College. She then went on to work for Ontario Hydro in Sudbury and later at their Head Office in Toronto until retirement. Judy then moved to Orillia, living there until her illness. She was a free spirit; loved to travel, especially the Caribbean, fiercely independent, a sun worshipper and adored the water. Family was everything to her. She was our rock, someone you could always count on. She faced her 4 year long illness with strength and grace. Our hero and will leave a huge hole in our lives. Now you are at peace, dearest sister in God’s arms.
The family would like to thank the Angels at St. Gabriel’s Villa, especially Roxanne who went above and beyond for our sister. Also a huge thank you to Maison McCulloch Hospice for allowing Judy to pass in peace and dignity. You truly are the most amazing, caring people. A special thank you to Dr. Walton.
