Peacefully passed away Thursday June 1st, 2017 with his nephew James and niece Kathy by his side.

Beloved husband of Hildegarde (nee Maletzki) Brand predeceased 1979 and Liselotte (nee Holzapfel) predeceased 2008. Son of Ludwig and Emily (nee Behr) Brand and brother of Jerry Brand and Helmut Brand all predeceased. Cherished uncle of James and Katherine Holzapfel, Martina and Peter Glassl, and several nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends, and all the others who shook his hand.
Memories of the cottage “Camp” and the famed “eye opener” known worldwide will remain in our hearts forever. Cheers.

The family will honour Kurt’s wishes of no visitation and no funeral. Cremation was held in Brampton.
Graveside committal prayers will be held at a later date at the Sudbury Civic Memorial Cemetery.
