Peacefully, Saturday, September 2nd, 2017 at his residence.

Beloved husband of Sheila (Farrell) Roy predeceased May 2nd, 1999. Cherished son of Eustache and Emma (Landry) Roy predeceased. Loving brother of Joseph Roy (Clementine), Zerilda Belanger-Pigeon (Leon), Marie Jeanne Charbonneau (Alfred), Simone Wood (Bob), Albert Roy (Evangeline), Leonard Roy (Dolores), Elzear Roy (Georgette), Flo Hagger (Maurice Menard), and Andy Roy (Helen) all predeceased. Sadly missed by many loving nieces, nephews, and their families, and his canine buddy Bijou.

A longtime resident of Sudbury, Robert was a retired carpenter from INCO. He married Sheila (nee Farrell) in 1963 in Creighton. He was an avid Sudbury Wolves and Montreal Canadiens fan. Robert coached minor hockey and baseball for over 35 years. He enjoyed golfing and playing pool. He was an accomplished model airplane creator and operator. Robert will be remembered as a very kind man who loved life and lived it on his own terms.

Cremation with interment in the family plot at the St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
