In loving memory of Gordon Maxwell Ettinger who passed away Friday September 29th, 2017 at Health Sciences North at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Elaine (Bray) Ettinger of Val Caron. Loving father of Wilfred (Marilyn) of Val Caron, Debbie Lee Hawes of Kingston and Sherie Ann MacDonald of Sudbury. Cherished grandfather of Andrew (Natasha), Justin (Angela), Scott (Melanie), Kory, Jamie, Bronson and Maverick (Megan) and great grandfather of Mason, Tyson and Kobe. Dear brother of Madeleine Keller of Lively and Thomas (Audrey) of Selkirk, Manitoba. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Flora Ettinger, sisters Elsie Brown and Ellen Allanch and canine best friend Spooky. He married the love of his life and they spent the next 60 years defining what it meant to love and be loved. His family was his life and he dedicated all his energy to building it. He loved his family unconditionally and did everything he could to let them know that. He spent countless hours telling stories of his life and imparting wisdom onto those who would listen. He affected and help mold many lives in his life. Friday marked the day he had to leave his family. He gave all the wisdom and guidance he could give. This is not good bye, it’s see you later! We love you Gord, Dad, Grandpa and Great Grandpa.
At Gordon’s request, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation.
