Flavia was born in Italy on February 8th, 1922 and has resided in Canada for over 80 years. She was very proud to be Canadian. She was a very elegant woman and no matter the day, she was always dressed with class; her clothes, hair, makeup and jewellery was always immaculate. She enjoyed her summer flowers and took great care of them. She loved cooking and was an amazing cook. Some of her family’s favorites were her gnocchi, risotto and her famous Italian cookies “Pizzelles”. She loved cooking for her family and friends, and was always happy to send them home with leftovers. Flavia was happiest when she was spending time with her family.
The family would like to thank the amazing staff at the Walford Retirement Residence where Flavia happily resided for the past 6 years. Also thank you to the staff at Health Sciences North; 7th floor Surgical Unit, Nurses Brei, Crystal, Victoria and Megan and to Doctors Garrioch, Bahtia and Reddy for their excellent care and compassion.
