Walter had a great very dry sense of humour, which often went under the radar.  Always impeccably dressed, he always looked like a million bucks.  One time, he took me out blueberry picking to some obscure hills waaay off in the bush, where the berries were as big as grapes (nobody else could find that spot again - you had to be raised there), and picked twice as fast as I did.  He was very proud of his daughter Cally, and of his granddaughters Sarah & Alexis, and whenever he visited, he always surprised us with great baking (blueberry pies, pasta, butter tarts). Walter was a very talented, generous, and sociable man, and will surely be missed.
