with loving family at her side.
Beloved wife of Constantino “Gus” Christakos (predeceased). Daughter of Constantino and Dina Koroneos of Greece (both predeceased). Loving mother of Steve and Lina Christakos of Sudbury, Peter and Bonnie Christakos of Barrie, Alexia and Michel Chenier of Toronto and Tony and Justeen Christakos of Sudbury. Cherished grandmother of Sharley Tessa, Constantine (Eric), Josée, Caitlin, Anthony, Patrick, Nicholas, Jesse Costa (predeceased), Shane, and Elizabeth. Great grandmother of Athan, Zoë, Jace, and Lylah. Dear sister of Dia Georgacopoulos (Bill George predeceased), Tasso and Rita Koroneos, Matto Koroneos of Greece, George Koroneos (predeceased) of Australia, Mike Koroneos of Greece, and Jim and Effie Koroneos of Niagara Falls. Sadly missed by many nephews, nieces, godchildren and extended family and friends.
Polyxine (Jenny) was a vibrant, strong, loving and caring woman. She had celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary with her loving husband Constantino (predeceased). She came to Canada in 1960 and worked as a seamstress. Then moved to Sudbury in 1966, where she and her husband opened Steve's restaurant, which was a popular dining place for Sudburians. Her passion was to feed everyone. Jenny was a pillar of the Hellenic Ladies Association and the St-Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. She will forever be remembered for her generosity.
