It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Dave on Sunday January 7, 2018 at the age of 76. Loving husband and best friend of Joan (Williamson). Left to mourn with loving and lasting memories are his wife of 53 years Joan and his loving children Paula (James Mick), Lori (Michel Leduc), Patrick (Judy Allen) and Kevin (Voula Kostakos). Beloved Poppa to Erin and Brendan Mick, Jonah and Joshua Leduc, Charley and Jack McCann, Sarah and Scott McCann. Loving son of Patrick and Molly (O’Hearn) McCann, predeceased. Survived by his sister Ruby (Bernie Farrell, predeceased) and predeceased by brothers Ervin (Mae) and Clarence (Dwyla, predeceased) and sister Geraldine. He is also predeceased by his sister-in-law Shirley (Harold Koivula, predeceased) and his brother-in-law Norm (Sonny) Williamson. Uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Dave was born in Wolf Lake, Quebec, and moved to Sudbury in 1952, where he attended St. Aloysius School, then St. Charles College. He went on to take his electrical apprenticeship at INCO, where he worked for 38 years. Dave was a man of strong faith. Dave was most proud of his four children, whom he inspired to espouse a strong work ethic, good family values and a love of learning.
