Obituary for
Lawrence "Laurie" Anthony Tarini
One of the all-time great guys, Lawrence “Laurie” Anthony Tarini, 63, passed away early Thursday, January 18, 2018 after a short illness. Beloved husband of Louise (Blais). Loving father of Joel, Justin (Julie), and Jordan (Anthony). Cherished Nonno of Nathan, Jayden, and Alyssa. Dear brother of Frank (Fran) and Carlo (Claire), and lovingly remembered by many nephews, nieces, cousins and in-laws. He is pre-deceased by his parents Mario Tarini and Ada Valentini. Laurie was a long-time and respected employee at Vale (Inco) where he loved working. Laurie was an extremely good-natured man and was a friend to just about everybody he ever met. He was a devoted family man who liked nothing more than to get together with members of his family, open a bottle of red wine and fire up the barbeque in his backyard, which he meticulously maintained right down to the last blade of grass. He will be remembered for his mischievous sense of humor, distinct laugh and an outstanding moustache. Laurie meant a lot to a lot of people inside and outside his family. His love and devotion were legendary, and it’s this that will be missed most. The Tarini family would like to thank Dr. Erin Chouinard, and the staff at Health Sciences North, the Greater Sudbury Paramedic Services, and the Maison McCulloch Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Maison McCulloch Hospice.
