Passed away unexpectedly only 2 days into her 100th year on Wednesday, January 17th, 2018 at Health Sciences North.
Beloved wife of Gordon Guthrie (predeceased 1992). Loving mother of Hugh and Alan. Cherished Grandma of Joshua (Allison) and Benjamin (Chris). Predeceased by her sisters Mary Graham (Bill also predeceased) and Catherine Baker (Joe also predeceased). She will be missed by many nieces and nephews. She was an active member of Copper Cliff United Church and a member of the UCW. She enjoyed knitting, baking and being with her family.
The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff at Pioneer Manor and the nurses & doctors in the Emergency department at Health Sciences North for their care and compassion.
A celebration of Frances’ life will be held in the Copper Cliff United Church, 26 Park Street West, Copper Cliff, on Saturday, February 24th, 2018 at 2:30pm. Friends may gather at the church after 1:30pm Saturday February 24th. Reception to follow.
Cremation with burial alongside her husband in the spring at Park Lawn Cemetery.
