Condolences

Condolence From: Janet Hough
Condolence: As a youngster, my time spent with Aunt Pat was always a time of wonder and of adventure. Aunt Pat often had a project and, if you were lucky enough to accompany her in this project, your eyes would be opened to all that was marvellous in her and in nature. It could be converting an old tree stump to a table, taming the raspberry bushes, or moving ferns from the trees in the back into one of her many spectacular gardens. And although she approached each project with determination and focus, Aunt Pat took time to chat, to explain the hows and the whys of what we were doing. She also took time to visit with her chipmunks. (Like a true artist, Aunt Pat’s attention to detail enabled her to distinguish one chipmunk from another, giving each a name.) What a joy, to be with Aunt Pat with a chipmunk eating nuts on your shoulder! I’m grateful to Aunt Pat for those times and those memories. More import, when I think of her I’m reminded to pay attention to all that is wonderful in this world, and to treasure it. My condolence to Mike, Woody and their families.
