It is with heavy hearts the family announces her passing at Extendicare York in Sudbury.
Beloved wife of John Laughlin (predeceased), Lorne Beaudry (predeceased), and Carl Kennedy (predeceased). Devoted daughter of the late Basil Yandt and step-mother Florence Yandt (predeceased) and her mother, the late Janet Yandt (nee Hoog). Loving mother of Judy (Mike Dumont predeceased), Christine (Craig Belanger), John Jr. Laughlin (Andrea), James Laughlin (Greta) and Debra Ann Brazzier. Cherished sister of Bobby, Roy predeceased (Kathy) and Barry (Debbie). Beloved grandma of Aime, Lisa, Lori, Michelle, Justin, Jordan, Elijah, Garrett, Roderica, and Desmond (predeceased). Dear great-grandma of Kaiden, Tiana, Meadow, Miles, Camden, Blake, Logan, Shalaya, Ivanna, and Clara. She will be sadly missed by her much loved nieces and nephews Jules, Kyle, Darlene, Janet, Michael, and the newest family member her great-niece Lennon. She will be sadly missed by her lifelong friend and sister-in-law Doreen Thompson.
Gail was well known for her love of dancing and her creative crafts. She loved winters in Florida.
The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the 4th floor staff of Extendicare York for their thoughtfulness and support during the difficult time and for giving above and beyond to make Gail comfortable during her final hours.
In keeping with Gail’s wishes there will be no visitation, no funeral, and no service.
A private family gathering will take place at a later date.
Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family but not necessary.
