KUNAT, Anna (née Rokita) – Died peacefully at Health Sciences North on March 24th, 2018, at the age of 88, surrounded by family. Beloved wife of 66 years to Benoît Kunat (predeceased) ; loving mother of Linda Kunat and Regine (aka Ginka) Delparte (Normand) ; caring grandmother of Gabriel Fournier, Eric Delparte (Suzanne Lemieux), Jude Delparte (Anne Hu), Luc Delparte (Sarah Fontaine), Marc Delparte, Danica Delparte (David Guillemette) ; loving great-grandmother of Zoë Delparte (predeceased), Raphaël and Solène Delparte, Nadia, Annie and Emile Guillemette, Ava Delparte and Jasmine Delparte ; sister of Manius Rokita (Thérèse) and Genia Szymczak (Thaddée), predeceased by her brother Joseph Rokita and her sister Honorine Bertrand (predeceased Gilbert); and caring aunt to many nieces and nephews from Canada, France and USA. It must be highlighted that she shared a unique bond with her youngest sister Genia. Together through the years they have shared many moments of laughter, tears and joys. Thank you to the 7th floor staff at Health Sciences North, particularly Stephanie our angel, who took great care of our mom and family. Anna was our rock, the matriarch, the ultimate caregiver. She left her homeland in France with her adventurous husband to begin their new life in Sudbury. She took on all the challenges of living in a new country by creating a home where everyone felt welcome. Cooking, knitting, crocheting, canning, reading and playing cards were some of her hobbies, but what she loved most was spending time with both of her daughters’ families. Anna was a proud strong lady, making sure she looked her best and taking special care on Sundays. She was a genuine, honest, caring woman who wore her heart on her sleeve and had a beautiful, youthful spirit. She was the heart and soul of our family and her presence will be missed forever.

KUNAT, Anne (née Rokita) – S’est éteinte paisiblement à Horizon Santé- Nord le 24 mars 2018, à l’âge de 88 ans, entourée de sa famille. Épouse bien-aimée de 66 ans de feu Benoît Kunat; mère aimante de Linda Kunat et Régine (Ginka) Delparte (Normand); grand-mère attentionnée de Gabriel Fournier, Eric Delparte (Suzanne Lemieux), Jude Delparte (Anne Hu), Luc Delparte (Sarah Fontaine), Marc Delparte et Danica Delparte (David Guillemette); tendre arrière-grand-mère de feue Zoë Delparte, Raphaël et Solène Delparte, Nadia, Annie et Emile Guillemette, Ava Delparte et Jasmine Delparte; sœur de Manius Rokita (Thérèse) et Genia Szymczak (Thaddée), prédécédée par son frère Joseph Rokita et sa soeur Honorine Bertrand (feu Gilbert); et chère tante de nombreux neveux et nièces au Canada, en France et aux É-U. Un lien unique unissait Anne et sa sœur cadette Genia qui, au fil des ans, ont partagé de nombreux moments drôles, tristes et joyeux. Nous tenons à remercier le personnel du 7e étage à Horizon Santé-Nord, notamment Stephanie, notre ange qui s’est si bien occupée de notre maman et de notre famille. Anne était notre roc, la matriarche qui s’est occupée à merveille de sa famille. Elle a quitté sa France natale avec son mari aventureux pour commencer leur nouvelle vie à Sudbury. Elle a relevé tous les défis de vivre dans un nouveau pays et créé un foyer où tous se sentaient les bienvenus. Elle aimait cuisiner, tricoter, crocheter, faire des conserves, lire et jouer aux cartes, mais elle aimait par-dessus tout passer du temps avec les familles de ses filles. Anne était une femme fière et forte qui soignait toujours son apparence, surtout le dimanche. Elle était une femme sincère, honnête et aimante qui avait le cœur sur la main et un bel esprit jeune. Anne était le cœur et l’âme de notre famille et elle sera toujours dans nos pensées. Au lieu de fleurs, que vos marques de sympathie s’expriment par un don à la Banque d’aliments de Sudbury ou à la Elgin Street Mission. La messe commémorative sera célébrée en l’Église St-Jean de Brébeuf, 26, rue Kathleen, Sudbury, le vendredi 4 mai 2018 à 10 h 30. (La famille vous accueillera à l’église après 10 h le vendredi.) La mise en niche des cendres aura lieu au Cimetière commémoratif municipal. (Les dispositions funéraires sont confiées au salon funéraire Jackson & Barnard.)
