Obituary for Keith Eldon Horner

On April 2nd, 2018, Keith Eldon Horner passed away at the Extendicare York in his 90th year.
Keith was born in Arnprior Ontario, in 1928 but was a resident of the Greater City of Sudbury for over 70 years. He was predeceased by his wife Betty (2007) to whom he was happily married for 61 years.
Keith was a father of six - Brian Horner (Mary), Fay Noble (Robert); Bonnie Love (Harold), Karen Carpenter (James), Barry Horner (Ina) and Brent Horner (Karen). Keith was a proud grandfather to 15 grandchildren (Colin predeceased 2015), 23 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild.
Keith worked at Vale (Inco) for over 30 years and had been a resident of Naughton since 1969 until his recent residency at Extendicare York.
Keith loved to hunt and fish, raise pure bred dogs and racing pigeons; and story tell.
The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to the staff of York Extendicare (2nd floor) for their excellent personal care of their father. Keith was in great hands and he loved the staff.
Visitation will take place at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St., Sudbury (705-673-3611) on Saturday, April 7th from 10 am until the time of the Memorial Service in the R. J. Barnard Chapel to celebrate Keith’s life at 11:30 am. Officiated by Keith’s son Rev. Brent Horner.
Luncheon and Committal service will follow the funeral service. Interment will be at the Waters Cemetery.
