A life resident of Sudbury, Pat had been an administrator with the Ministry of Education, having 23 years of service and retiring in 1983. A woman of faith, she helped found the Anglican Church of the Ascension, having purchased the first piano for the church. She was always quick to help others and she was a well-respected volunteer in the community. She was past president of the Sudbury Red Cross and the Sudbury Kinsmen “Kinette” Club. She taught swimming and the YMCA and was an accomplished teacher of square and round dancing in Ontario and the United States. She lived life to the fullest and inspired others to do the same.
At Pat’s request, there will be no funeral visitation or service. Cremation with interment in the family plot at the Park Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Diabetes Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home.
