Obituary for Lynda Mary Arnold (Fennessy)

In Loving Memory
of
Lynda Mary Arnold (nee Fennessy)
62 years

Peacefully passed away on Saturday, April 7th, 2018 surrounded by her family.

Beloved wife of Rolf Arnold. Loving mother of Heather VanDuzen (Phill), Devin Jarratt (Marcy), Andrew Moss and Veronica Moss (Thomas). Cherished Nana of Hailey, Graidon, Colton, Jared, Ryan and April. Dear daughter of Mary and Michael Fennessy both predeceased. Loving sister of Martin Fennessy (Karen), Marian Fennessy, Pat Fennessy (Gordon), Barbara Fennessy (Paul) and Diane Fennessy (Thomas). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews as well as aunts, uncles and cousins from Ireland and England.
Lynda was born in Luton, Bedfordshire, England on December 16th, 1955 to Michael and Mary Fennessy. They immigrated to Copper Cliff, Ontario in 1957. Lynda graduated with a BA in Psychology. She returned to her studies completing her Masters in Interdisciplinary Health from Laurentian University despite the challenges her PSP illness presented. Lynda enjoyed her work as a Psychometrist/Counsellor for many years.
Lynda was most proud of her four children and being a Nana to her six grandchildren. She was also highly active in the community, receiving an award in recognition for her many years of service by the Town of Walden. While President of the Irish Heritage Club of Sudbury, she shared her passion for promoting organ donation and was instrumental in creating awareness through well-placed billboards.
Lynda found her soulmate and married the love of her life, Rolf Arnold. They shared their love of adventure and traveled broadly. Their competitive spirit was evident with the 390 Dragonboat Team and their active YMCA lifestyle.
Lynda was a loyal confidant of many, and well known for her wit and puns to lighten any situation. We will lovingly remember her positivity, courage, generosity and strength.
Live, Love, Laugh Lynda.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the many caregivers and long-time friends who have helped Lynda live her life to the fullest.
