In Loving Memory of Normand “Norm” Savarie.

The family announces with sorrow his death at Health Sciences North on Friday, April 13th, 2018 at the age of 81. Son of Wilfrid and Lena Savarie both predeceased. Beloved husband of Margaret Savarie (nee Jones) predeceased 2011. Loving father of Adam and stepchildren Debbie Robinson Gingras, Pauline McCombs Jones, Bill Villeneuve, and Peter Villeneuve (Trudi). Cherished grandfather of J.D., Frank, Melissa, Mareeya, Derek, Byron, Jason, Sam, Amy, Noel, Lee-Ann, Amanda, and great grandchildren Tricia, Chelsea, Shea-Lynn, Cora-Lynn, Destiney, Elijah, Madison, Vanessa, Haiden, Kaiden, Paisley, Autumn, Taylor, Jaden, Leila, Leeah, Alena, Sophie, and Alex. Dear brother of Rosemarie predeceased, Stanley (wife Jean), Hilary predeceased (wife Bev), Daniel (wife Beth), Mark, Diane (husband Eugene Czaja), Muriel (husband Bert Lemay). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.

Norm worked for Falconbridge in his younger years, then went to Hamilton, where he worked for Firestone and later opened a second hand store. After many years in Hamilton, Norm moved back to Sudbury.

Norm was happiest when sharing his love of music with family and friends. Special thanks to the staff at Extendicare York for their care and compassion, and to the HSN Emergency staff for their excellent care and support.

Cremation with interment in the family plot at the Park Lawn Cemetery.
