Obituary for Claudette Lucrecia Poratto (Corbeil)

It is with profound sadness the Poratto family announces the passing of our dear mother, Claudette Lucrecia Poratto, at the age of 86. A kind and gentle woman of endearing faith, she is now at peace and resting with her Lord. Predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Beatrice Corbeil; her husband Raymond Poratto, and daughter Renée Breau; brothers René Corbeil, Jacques Corbeil, Paul Corbeil, and sister Susie Coles. Claudette is survived by her daughters Adèle Poratto (husband Darrel Mullen), Lise Poratto-Mason (husband James Mason), Marissa Poratto, sons Frank Poratto, John Poratto, and daughter Micheline Kuepfer (husband Tim Kuepfer) and her son in law Ray Breau; brother Leo Corbeil and sister Jeannine Terrell (Jack predeceased). Sister in law to Astrid and Irene.

Nanna will be greatly missed by her adoring grandchildren, Lucie Cadieux, Anthony Poratto (Amy Sanford), Eric Breau (Teagan Eerrola), Mario Breau, Chanèle Bouchard (Thomas), Alex Poratto (Kate), Adam Mason (Samantha Prescott), Bennett Mason, Blake Mason (Kristen Smith), Henry Cleghorn, Lucas Poratto, Eva Kuepfer, Anika Kuepfer, and Ellie Kuepfer. Nanna had a special spot in her heart for her great grandchildren, Annabelle, Jaxon, Isabella, Xavier, Tobias, and Samuel.

Claudette was truly a lady of elegance and grace, a one and only grande dame but her passion was at the heart of her family. She always gave of herself to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, often to her own sacrifice. She always had a kind word to those in need and provided spiritual guidance to her entire family. Claudette’s raison d’être was to nurture and to love and to serve her Lord.

She will leave a lasting legacy of love and kindness to the many whose lives she touched.

The family would like to express their utmost gratitude to all the staff at the Maison McCulloch Hospice for the professional, caring, and dedicated care they provided to Claudette. The Poratto family encourages donations to the Hospice in memory of Claudette so they can continue to provide their outstanding care to others.
