Married 50 years to Hedley “Ed” Lang (predeceased April 1, 1995). Survived by her three children, Keith Lang (Beverley) of Sudbury, Dawn Marie Ceaser (Hartley) of Levack, and Jean Lahnalampi of Lively. Cherished grandmother of Christine D’Aloisio (Rick Tarini) of Sudbury, Jennifer Barberio (Carmelo) of Stouffville, Nancy Ceaser (John Pratt) of Levack, Dr. Jack Ceaser (Nicole) of Collingwood, Travis Lahnalampi (Sara Johnson) of London, Derek Lahnalampi (Christina) of Tottenham, Clinton Lahnalampi (Leah Snider) of Copper Cliff, great grandchildren Christina Vaillancourt (Joey), Jake D’Aloisio, and Sydney Tarini; Brooklyn and Sammy Barberio; Graham Pratt (predeceased), Elizabeth and James Pratt; Aiden and Rhys Ceaser; Michael and Nicholas Lahnalampi; Dylan, Jackson, Benjamin, Aubree, and Gabriel Lahnalampi; Alexandra and Joshawa Lahnalampi; great great grandchildren Ellie and Noah Vaillancourt. Dear daughter of George and Harriet (Whitman) Johnson both predeceased. Survived by her sister Georgina Hodgins (Steward predeceased) of Sudbury. Predeceased by her sister Margaret Tompkins of Windsor. Special sister-in-law to Ray Lang, Jean Lee (Ken), Bill Lang (Marguerite), George Lang (Patricia), Robert Lang (Reta), and Kathleen Lang, all predeceased.

Jean was born in Ridgetown, moving to Sudbury as a teenager. She met Ed Lang when she was a teacher in Lee Valley. They married in 1944 at St. Andrew’s United Church, Sudbury. Jean was a woman of great faith, actively participating in the ministries and activities of St. Mark’s United Church. In 1976 they moved to Massey, where she continued her good work and ministry at St. Andrew’s United Church Massey, returning to Sudbury in 1995. She was a longtime member of the Women’s Institute in Lee Valley and Waters. She was Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary, Royal Canadian Legion Massey Branch.

Monday, May 28th, 2018 at 10:30am.
Interment in the family plot at Lee Valley Cemetery on Monday at 3pm.
