Karl was born in Creighton on May 23rd, 1927, later moving to Wahnapitae with his family. Karl was a quiet man, but enjoyed telling stories from the past, and had a great sense of humour, telling jokes, many with Finnish humour. In his early years, he enjoyed flying solo in a plane. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed the great outdoors. He loved fishing and hunting with his brother Fred and later with his wife Aino. He worked as a carpenter with Acme for over 40 years. He was very generous with his time in helping family and friends. Karl was very creative in carpentry and working with wood. Some family members were lucky enough to have a piece of his creation. Sunday visits were reserved for a treat of Tim Hortons coffee and Leinala’s pulla and possus.
We would like to thank the nurses and staff at Walford on the Park for their loving care and attention. We also would like to thank Dr. deBlacam, Dr. Bilgasum, and Dr. Want for their professional care and support.
