Obituary for Lee-Anne Louise Raymond (Plante)

Lee-Anne Louise Raymond (Plante)
My name is Lee-Anne Louise Raymond (nee Plante). I passed away in my hometown of Sudbury on June 20th, 2018 after my last battle with cancer. I join my older sister Michelle Plante (1970 - 2002), my “Nanny” Evelyn Haryett (1931 - 1998) and all my family and friends before and after them. I am not saying I’m leaving anyone behind because I’ll live on through their memories and love. So, until we are together again...
Most importantly, Troy Robert Raymond, my husband, my rock, my soul mate, my hero who brought so much laughter, joy, and love into my heart. You are my life and always will be. Be happy.
Maurice and Susan Plante (nee Haryett), my energetic and strong parents who taught me how to fish, how to play fair and how to work hard. My loving and caring parents, thank you for your wisdom.
Shane Plante, my carefree and fearless younger brother, his wife Wendy Plante (nee Venedam), my playful and always laughing sister-in-law (“Sista”), Joshua Maranchuk, my kind-hearted firecracker step-nephew, Meagan Maranchuk, my delightful bright step-niece, Kale Plante, my clever and quick-witted nephew, and Nancy Plante-Frolich my beautiful niece (Michelle’s daughter), don’t ever stop believing in yourself. Enjoy your daughters Jade and Lindsay.
Maurice and Christina Raymond (nee Olearczyk), my always open-armed “Daddy and Momma” in-laws who love with their whole hearts.
Jennifer Daw (nee Raymond), my loyal, true friend and first (chronological) sister-in-law (“Sista”), Jason Daw, my easy-going and dependable brother-in-law, and Tanner Raymond-McKenny, my canny and humorous nephew.
The names are too many to mention so... all my aunts, uncles, cousins, friends especially Andre Lavallee, and my Southern Cruisers Riding Club family. Remember me and smile.
P.S. I love yellow flowers.
Not many people want or get to plan their own funeral, maybe because it’s supposed to be for the living. That’s a shame because I think mine should be an extension and celebration of my life.
A funeral brings out stories only loved ones could share, it revives those forgotten moments and precious memories that today, may bring you pain and tears but also may bring you smiles and laughter, and even, a little peace.

I hope in time those same moments and memories fill you with joy as they did me. I don’t think “Sorry for your loss,” but, “Thank you for my Gain.”

I had a great life, a happy life, and I have no regrets. I’m still smiling, smile with me.

Donations to the Maison McCulloch Hospice or Ride to the Wall 2018 (Royal Canadian Legion Branch 76) would be appreciated.
