Passed away peacefully June 25, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Franco Ricci predeceased. Loving mother of Rita (Ron Cecchetto), Loretta (Denis Paquette), Sandra (Phil Landry) of Sudbury. Cherished Nonna of Jordan (Karine), Kristin (Patrick Courtney), Amanda (Andrew Eibl) , Steve (Mikayla), Jessica (Brad), Eric Landry. Proud bisnonna of Padraig and Bryce Courtney and Alaria Eibl. Dear daughter of Roberto and Vera Cacciotti both predeceased. Survived by sister Letizia (Filomeno Coluzzi), and brothers Sisto (Gianna) and Luigi (Angela) of Italy. Dear sister-in-law of Giuseppe predeceased (Lena) of Carpineto Romano, Leo (Dina), Luigi (Lisa), Mario (Lina) of Sudbury and Luciano (Rosetta) of Newmarket. Sadly missed by many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Iolanda was born on November 7, 1938 in Carpineto Romano, Italy. As a young woman she immigrated to Canada to marry Franco Ricci. Iolanda was the Matriarch of the Riccis, devoting her life to her family and friends. She was a loving, caring, selfless person who always put others first, always willing to help, always willing to teach. She was happiest spending time with her family cooking her traditional Italian Sunday dinners. She immediately became “nonna” to all who met her. Her passions were cooking, baking, crocheting and gardening. She took great pride in her meticulously manicured yard, flower beds and grape vines. She will be lovingly remembered for her infectious smile and she will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
