In loving memory of Giuseppe “Joe” Doni, 91 years, who passed away on Wednesday, June 27th, 2018 at Health Sciences North in Sudbury.

Beloved husband of Delfina Doni (Spadafora) predeceased 2010. Loving father of Saverio (Carolyn), Frank (Irene), and Carmine (Sandy). Cherished Nonno of grandchildren Michael (Melanie), Steven, Kevin (M.J.), Janna-Marie (Caz), Eric (Rebecca), Stephanie (Jason), and Christopher, and great grandchildren Madison, Tamara, Makenzi, Damian, Mavrik, and Cruz. Dear son of Saverio and Carmela, both predeceased, and loving brother of Raffaela and Franca (both of Sudbury) as well as Lilliana (of Italy). Predeceased by his brother Ettore and sister Rita, and brothers-in-law Lombardo, Francesco, Giuseppe, and Giovanni. Sadly missed by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In 1958, Giuseppe immigrated to Canada from Cosenza, Italy, in search of a better life for his beloved wife and three children. He settled in Sudbury, where he provided for his family by working in construction and at the Sudbury General Hospital. Giuseppe was a strong man who took great pride in his workmanship and Italian heritage. He was a life member of Società Caruso and a member of the Calabria Social Club. Giuseppe was an avid gardener who valued his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the care and compassion that was provided by the staff on the 4th floor of the North Tower of Health Sciences North.
