at Maison McCulloch Hospice


Beloved wife of Florito “Benny” Benedetti (predeceased 1992). Loving mother of Susan Mathieu (Daniel) of Hanmer, Peter (Ellen) of Whitby and Paul (predeceased). Cherished Nana of Chantal Weaver (Darren), Paul Mathieu (Justy), Anthony and Christopher & great grandmother of Alexis Aline. Step grandmother of Kyle, Adam and Daniel. Predeceased by her parents Paul & Georgette Deslaunais, her sister Gisele Demcheson and her brother Ivan. Survived by her siblings Yvette Robert (Albert predeceased) of London, Mona Rochefort (Paul) of Astorville, Jacques (Rachel) of Dowling, Rachel Dawson (Dave) of Orillia, brother-in-law Metro Demcheson of London and sister-in-law Paulette Deslaunais of North Bay. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends.
Aline was born in Field, Ontario on June 3rd, 1931. She was a teacher for many years, starting her career in a one room country school in Badgerow Township just outside of Field, teaching grades 1 to 8. As she raised her family, she resided in Peterbell, Hamilton, Rockwood and Fauquier before finally ending up in North Bay where she began teaching again. In 1965 her and her family moved to Capreol where she taught at St. Mary's School until she retired in 1986. After her beloved husband passed away she moved to Hanmer to live with her daughter Susan and her family. She had a passion for knitting and sewing and made many things for her grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, as well as knitting for different organizations including: Guardian Angels (for preemies), Counted cross-stitch for children and for the church. She also enjoyed cooking and baking.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the caregivers who allowed us to care for her until she was brought to the hospice. Thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at Health Sciences North, especially Dr. Bourdon, Dr. Michon, Dr, Langille, Dr. Benedict, Dr. Pearse, Dr. Cano, Dr. Imbeau & to the surgical staff of the 7th floor North as well as Dr. Singh & the staff at the Northeastern Cancer Center. Thank you to her family doctor, Dr. Gauthier and the staff at LHIN. Also thank you to the amazing staff at the hospice especially Dr. Tenhunen, Dr. Walton and Dr. Michael for their great care and compassion.

Épouse bien-aimée de feu Florito “Benny” Benedetti (décédé en 1992). Mère dévouée de Susan Mathieu (Daniel) de Hanmer, Peter (Helen) de Whitby et feu Paul (décédé). Chère Nana de Chantal Weaver (Darren), Paul (Justy), Anthony, Christopher et arrière grand-mère d’Alexis Aline. Belle grand-mère de Kyle, Adam et Daniel. Prédécédée par ses parents Paul et Georgette Deslaunais, sa soeur Gisèle Demcheson et son frère Ivan et survécue par ses frères et soeurs,Yvette Robert (feu Albert) de London, Mona Rochefort (Paul) d’Astorville, Jacques (Rachel) de Dowling, Rachel Dawson (Dave) d’Orillia, beau-frère Metro Demcheson de London et belle-soeur Paulette Deslaunais de North Bay ainsi que plusieurs neveux, nièces et amis.
Aline est née à Field, Ontario le 3 juin, 1931. Elle a joui d’une longue et distinguée carrière dans l’enseignement en premier dans une maison d’école de campagne à Badgerow, tout près de Field, dans une classe d’élèves de la 1ière à la 8ième année. Tout en élevant sa famille, ils habitent à Peterbell, Hamilton, Rockwood et Fauquier avant de s’établir à North Bay où elle continue sa carrière. Ayant déménagé la famille à Capréol en 1965, elle oeuvre à l’école St. Mary’s jusqu’à sa retraite en 1986. Suite au décès de son cher époux, elle se rend à Hanmer pour vivre avec sa fille Susan et sa famille. Passionée du tricot et de la couture, elle fabriquait plusieurs beaux articles pour ses petits-enfants, neveux, nièces, arrières neveux et nièces et aussi pour différentes organizations telles que les “Guardian Angels” (pour bébés prématurés) et point de croix comptés pour les enfants et l’église. Une excellente cuisinière et boulangère, elle prenait plaisir à recevoir tous chez elle.
La famille accueille parents et amis au Salon Funéraire Lougheed, chapelle de Hanmer/Capréol, 4605 rue Michelle, Hanmer, le mardi 3 juillet, 2018 de 14h00 à 17h00 et 19h00 à 21h00.
Messe de Funérailles célébrée à l’église Ste-Marguerite-d’Youville, Val Thérèse
le mercredi 4 juillet, 2018 à 10h00.
Crémation au crématoire Park Lawn.
