In loving memory of Cassie Johnson, who passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 11th, 2018 at the age of 96 (according to her, 100). Cassie was born in Cobden, April 13th, 1922; she relocated to Sudbury and spent many years working at Birks’ Jewellers. She is predeceased by her parents Daniel and Martha Johnson, sisters Stella Black (Stewart), Eileen Basso (Calvin) and brother Gerald Johnson (Phyllis); survived by sister Iva Palmer (Fred deceased) and Doris Gemmill (Pat deceased). Cassie was like a second mother to all of her nieces and nephews; she will be missed by Faye Wing, Joan Wurster, Neil Black, David and Mark Gemmill, Robert, Bill, Shelley and Bruce Basso, and Ruth Hall.
The family would like to thank the staff on the 4th floor of Extendicare York for all their care and compassion.
There will be a private committal at the family plot in Cobden.
