Tragically, July 17th, 2018 near Shediac, New Brunswick.

Beloved husband of Fernande(nee Roy) Chenard predeceased 2011. Loving father of Gilles (Darlene) of Hanmer, Roger (Carol) of Val Caron, Victor (Joanne), Paul (Charlene) all of Embrun. Predeceased by Mario in 1991. Will be sadly missed by his grandchildren; Amanda (Sean), Pamela (Kevin) Jason (Lauren), Kevin, Nathalie, Mathieu, Josee, Daniel (Holly), Stephanie (Fraser) and great grandchildren Connor, Noah, Lucas, Emily, Mackenzie and Bryce. Predeceased by his parents Elieude and Marie-Louise (nee Michaud) Chenard. Survived by brothers Camille (Jeannine) and Jean-Marie (Françoise). Predeceased by sisters Claire, Georgette, Marie-Paule, Anita, Nicole and Patricia. Also predeceased by brothers Odilon, Edgar, Patrick, Patricien, Gerard and Claude. Luc was born in Kedgwick and raised in St-Martin, New Brunswick. He married Fernande in Kedgwick in 1956. They moved to Sudbury in 1966 to work and raise their five boys. As a resident of Markstay since 1980, he was a devoted member of St Marc’s church and an active 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus Coniston Council no. 11255. He worked at INCO Ltd before retiring in 1991. His favorite hobbies were fishing, hunting and trapping and living in the country. Every summer he looked forward to spend a month or so visiting his relatives and friends in New Brunswick and Quebec. Luc leaves behind a rich legacy of love, faith and devotion and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
