Obituary for Pauline Fesyk (Ewanio)

FESYK, Pauline

With a love for her that is eternal, and in her memory, the family sadly announces the quiet passing of Pauline Fesyk (nee Ewanio) on Tuesday, July 31st, 2018 at Health Sciences North. A family service was held at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home followed by interment at the family plot in the Civic Cemetery on Saturday, August 4th, 2018.
Pauline was born the fourth of four in the small Alberta farming hamlet of Derwent on December 11th, 1921 and found her way to Sudbury during the war effort, where she met and married Wasyl Fesyk in 1947.
Living to the amazing age of 96, she was predeceased by her parents, siblings John, Stella and Mary, her nephew Richard, as well as her husband Wasyl. Remembering her fondly are her two sons Mark of Toronto and Boris (wife Irene) of Sudbury, as well as nephews Bob of British Columbia and Ron and Barry of Alberta and second nephew Russell of Michigan.
She was always a deeply caring wife and special mother, and throughout her many years, when not at her best in the kitchen cooking and baking - especially the greatest cinnamon buns ever to come out of the oven, enjoyed all the time she could spend with family and friends, sometimes playing card games, but always in conversation.
She had the easiest and most endearing of personalities and will be ever caringly remembered by family and all those who came to know and love her and her ever so positive approach to life.
The wishes and thoughts of all friends have been greatly appreciated and the family gives many thanks to all the caring staff for their wonderful support over the many years Mom enjoyed living at Barvinok Residence. She now rests with God.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Barvinok Residence or charity of choice would be appreciated.
