Beloved wife of Gino Lagana predeceased 2008. Loving mother of Giorgio (wife Karen) and Luisa (husband John). Marina was born in the town of San Roberto, provincia di Reggio Calabria, where she is survived by a sister, sister-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Marina (born Cotroneo) and her sister Antonietta married two brothers, Gino and Giuseppe Lagana, on September 8th, 1960 in Reggio Calabria, Italy. Marina emigrated from Italy with her husband Gino in 1962, and settled in Sudbury where her brother Tony had arrived a few years earlier. She was a seamstress, and after her kids entered high school, she worked for Sears in the tailor shop. She was there for over 25 years, retiring in 2006 to take care of her ailing husband. Marina loved being in her garden on a daily basis, as it was her passion.
