Beloved wife of Alfred “Fred” Semenuk predeceased 2005. Loving mother of Louise Bergeron (husband Michael predeceased), Robert (wife Sandra), James (wife Diane), Christine (husband Paul McDonald), late Thomas, Frederick, and Catherine all predeceased. Cherished grandmother of Blaine predeceased, Tracy (husband John), Jason (Natalie), Daniel (wife Avalee), Stephanie, Andrea (husband Mark), Ken (wife Grace), Lindsay and Benjamin and great-grandchildren Johnathon (wife Kelsie), Abigail, Jonas, Isaiah, Emma, Mia, Joshua, and Aubrey. Dear daughter of Albert and Louisa (Pellerin) Durand predeceased. Dear sister of Tony, Jean, Lucien, and Yvette “Judy” all predeceased. Sadly missed by loving nieces and nephews.
Claudia married Alfred “Fred” Semenuk on May 16, 1948 at Holy Trinity Church. She was known for her immense love and devotion to her husband and family while being a woman of considerable faith and deep connection to Our Blessed Lady and Our Lord. Claudia was a lifelong active member of CWL and a lector at Holy Trinity and Christ the King Parishes. She loved to sing and for a while sang in the parish choirs, she was Director of Choir at Holy Trinity and sang in several choirs throughout the city-namely Caruso Choir.
Claudia was a strong and independent woman with a zest for life and a lifelong learner taking organ lessons, gourmet cooking classes, sewing machine and computer classes. She loved to crochet and knit and was always curious about new adventures including learning to drive at 65! She was a true inspiration to her family.
