Obituary for Lena McNicoll (Moore)

In loving memory of Lena McNicoll (nee Moore) who passed away on Friday, September 7th, 2018 at Health Sciences North. Predeceased by her husband Gerald McNicoll in 1986. Beloved mother of Barbara Foucault (Gerry), Carol Foucault, Candace Cameron (Dan), John (Kelly), Jim, and Tammie Meeks (Dave) all of Capreol. Cherished grandmother of Chris Foucault, Stacy Foucault (Christian), Darcy Foucault (Natalie), Daisy St. George (Gerry), Sully Foucault, Jody O’Daiskey (Jamie), Lindsay Venturi (Mike), Paige Knight (Eric), Alex McCracken (Travis), Davey Meeks and Carli Meeks and 14 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Elias and May Moore and siblings Raymond (Betty), Marge Laird (Chuck), Ormand and Dan. Lena was a faithful catholic member of Our Lady of Peace Church and the CWL. She met Gerald, her one true love whom she married until his sudden death in 1986. She continued to live in their family home that they built until her passing. In her younger years, she was an active volunteer with many places especially the Brownies. If you lived in Capreol you knew Lena as she was well known for her candy apples at Halloween, a tradition that is carried on by her daughter. Lena was truly happiest when she was surrounded by her family that she lived her life for.
A memorial mass will be held at Our Lady of Peace Church, 26 Dennie Street, Capreol on Thursday, September 13th, 2018 at 11am. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium with burial of ashes in the Capreol Cemetery. Donations to the Autism Ontario would be appreciated. (Friends may gather at the church after 10:30am Thursday.)
