Passed away suddenly at his residence on
Sunday, November 25th, 2018.
Beloved husband of Henriette Dallaire (nee Bisaillon) predeceased. He will be sadly missed by his long-time companion Rhejeanne Huot. Loving father of Jocelyne Pharand (Edgar) and David Dallaire (Tanya) & predeceased by his infant daughter Denise. Step father of Eric, Marc (Roxanne), Ron & Richard (Cindy) St. Louis. Cherished and proud pépère of Christine Regan (Jonathan), Nancy Granthien (Ian), Melanie Vandeligt (Jacob), Monique Boucha (Tim) and Phoebe, Kaelan & Jeremy Dallaire and David, Alex, Michelle & Abby St. Louis. Great grandfather of Brennan, Tyler, Josh, Chloe, Alyssa, Emma and Francine. Predeceased by his parents Henri & Gracia Dallaire (nee Gervais) and siblings Don, Rolly (Pauline also predeceased) and Lilly. Dear brother of Hector, Fern (Lorraine), Denis (Gisele) and Connie Marsh (John). He will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family.

Rod was a very thoughtful and accepting man who had a wealth of knowledge and a thirst for philosophy and reading. He was a proud member of the Local 786 Iron Workers Union for many years. He was a long-time resident of Alban and was granted his final wish of spending his remaining years in the log home that he built. He had an amazing way of connecting with the people he met and many will remember the great bond they shared with him. Rod was happiest when he was spending time with his loving family and his grandchildren brought him great joy.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial mass will be held at Notre Dame De Lourdes Church in Alban on Saturday, December 1st, 2018 at 11am. Friends may gather at the church after 10am on Saturday. Interment in the Alban Cemetery at a later date. Donations to the Northern Cancer Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements will be entrusted to the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home.
