Obituary for Mieczyslaw "Mike" Sroga
Mieczyslaw (Mike) Sroga
Passed away peacefully on October 13th, 2019. Born June 11th, 1924 in Zebocin, Poland. Beloved husband of 48 years to his wife Maria Sroga. Predeceased brothers of Edward, Stefan, Stanislaw and Wladyslaw, predeceased sisters Adela and Felicja and his parents Piotr and Zofia (nee Gudowska) Sroga.
Mike immigrated to Canada in 1951. He retired after 33 years from INCO (Vale) Copper Cliff Smelter. Member in good standing of the Polish Combatants Association and devoted parishioner to St. Casimir’s Church.
Mike will be sadly missed by his son Norbert Sroga, wife Barbara, children Patrycja and Thomas. Loving Uncle to Sophie Jaroszewicz, husband Anthony and children Michael and Samantha. Dorota Gorski, Eugene and their children Konrad and Daria. Sister in-law Helen Sroga.
Special thanks to all the doctors, nurses and personal support workers (especially Sheila & Jennifer) who work tirelessly to render care and keep him comfortable.
