In loving memory of Maria Tarini (Sansovini) who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 5th, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Villa at the age of 92. Beloved wife of Anselmo Tarini predeceased 1970. Loving mother of Luigi (Paula predeceased 2019) and Umberto predeceased 2008 (Jane). Cherished grandmother of Cara (Julien Marleau), Kyle (Caroline Auger), Joshua, Adam, Kate and Matthew. Predeceased by her parents Umberto and Livia Sansovini. Dear sister to Fulvia predeceased 2018, Nino (Alda) and Agostino (Elena). Maria was born in Bertinoro, Italy and came to Canada in 1951. Maria was an amazing seamstress and opened Tarini’s Variety with her husband from 1965-2008. She was a well known friend and pillar to the Gatchell community. Special thanks to Sr. Mildred Connelly and the Guardian Angels and the staff at St. Joseph’s Villa.
A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, November 9th, 2019 at St. Anthony’s Church, 19 Mary Street, Sudbury at 10:30am. If desired, donations to the St. Joseph’s Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
