Peacefully, with loving family by her side, Sunday, January 19th, 2020 at Finlandia Village, Sudbury.
Beloved wife of Egidio (predeceased). Loving mother of Fred (Stacia) of Oshawa, Connie (predeceased), Aurora (Jean-Marc Labre), and Angelo (Diana) both of Sudbury. Cherished Nonna of Amanda (Kyle Blenkhorn), Shannon Labre (William Fagan), Julie Labre (Devin Desjardins), and Dustin, Tyler, and Kailee Cacciotti. Much loved Bisnonna of Freeman and Fletcher Blenkhorn, Liam and Nova Fagan, and Zachary Desjardins. Dear daughter of Angelo and Concetta (Ergasti) Giampaolo, both predeceased. Dear sister of Umberto Giampaolo (Anatilde), Armandina (Giovanni Campagna), and Marilena (Tullio Sentilli) all predeceased. Dear sister-in-law of Giuseppina (predeceased) and Emilina and Vladimiro Cacciotti. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Leonessa was so special and beloved by our family, and will always be remembered for her kindness and generosity. She loved her family dearly and had an ability to make everyone feel welcome, especially in her kitchen! She worked for many years as a seamstress at Richmond Furs in Sudbury where she was able to display her creative talents and problem-solving skills. Her deep faith was an inspiration throughout her life and was a great source of strength for her. She loved to laugh and her good nature immediately endeared her to everyone she met. Her warmth and wisdom will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
