LESSARD Rachelle (nee Brochu) – It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and Mimi on Tuesday, February 23rd, 2021 in her 87th year. Rachelle passed away peacefully at Health Sciences North in Sudbury. Beloved wife of the late Phillipe-Auguste Lessard and loving mother of Diane Huneault (Richard), Paul Gaudreault (Suzanne) and the late Jean Gaudreault. Loving stepmother of Sylvie and Charles Lessard and proud Mimi of Eric, Melanie, Joel, Stefan, Nancy and Luc. Happiest of great grandmothers to Autumn and Patricia. As a master knitter and seamstress, Rachelle gifted everyone around her with the most beautiful of garments and blankets. She will be fondly remembered for her love of laughter, family and friends. Forever proud, Rachelle was famous for her signature hats and elegantly matching dresses. Her work at the Pioneer manor for many years exemplified her genuine caring for her community. A celebration of Rachelle’s life will be held at Christ the King Church in Sudbury on May 22nd, 2021 (tentative).
